Genuinely the best service and the best pho! Please try the cococane, it's such a treat with your hot bowl of pho, and dont forget to add the spicy chili oil to your soup!! (((:

Great food and nice people works and clean restaurant but they are often sold out so fast pretty much daily basis. So people like us who hard to find the time to go early is challenged to eat their famous Pho.

This pho was literally one of the best phos I've ever had ! Such strong flavors and the meat was cooked to perfection. My only problem (which isn't their fault) is the place is small and everyone was waiting inside. Maybe some benches out front would be best. They are open until sold out and have 8 - 10 tables. Only 1 type of pho and have been open for a little over a year. Definitely would like to go back but the packed room makes me nervous and may only be able to take home to eat the meal. Overall if they updated their waitlist system it would be a 5/5 amazing experience

Craving pho? This is so far the best! Very limited menu, but that means it's the best that they can offer. The broth was so flavorful, I can just drink it. Service was a bit slow, but that's because they have a long line of customers waiting! I'm not complaining, good food, great company, friendly staff, what's not to like?

Food was amazing Ambience was very personable and Service was top shelf They live up to the 5 star rating. Young ladies that brought us our water and fixing were very attentive, Family owed and operated, what a treat and a great experience. We will be back and will bring our friends and family! Thank you , Flint & Lucy

This place definitely lives up to the hype! I like the simplicity of their menu. The food is delicious and the service is great. Be sure to grab a fresh squeezed cococane juice as well. It's a small restaurant and only a certain amount of bowls served per day, so be sure to get there early before they sell out! There are a few parking spots in the back for the restaurant, but other than that you'll have to find parking along the street. Stop on in, you won't be disappointed.

Came here on Thursday around 12:30 and they put up a sign they sold out by 12:45. Waited about 10 minutes to be seated for three of us. They only had pho left, which was soooo good! Broth tastes clean and the meat is tender. The owners are so nice and treat you like family too. If you want to come here you need to come early because they sell out fast.

The rumors are true: PHOnomenal really does serve the best pho I've had in San Diego! House Special Pho - 10/10: The broth here has a unique, slightly sweet flavor that stands out from other places. It comes with two full beef ribs, so tender they practically fall off the bone. Although I'd seen reviews mentioning meatballs, as of 11/10/24, the house special doesn't include them anymore. They're available for an extra $3.50 if you want to add them. Either way, the portion size is more than enough for one person, and the noodles have a perfect chew. We also tried the shrimp and pork spring roll, which comes with your choice of fish sauce or peanut sauce. Plus, I couldn't resist the cococane juice since I saw it at almost every table. Both were okay but didn't quite live up to the hype for me. A tip: get there early, even before opening if possible. They actually started seating guests before official hours, and people were already eating when we arrived at 9:50 a.m. By the time we left at 10:40 a.m., they had put up the "sold out" sign, so plan accordingly! All in all, I'd highly recommend PHOnomenal to any friends and food lovers in San Diego.

Look, let me tell you... when I say I stopped eating pho for years since I moved to San Diego because I couldn't find something worth the space in my tummy... THIS IS THE PLACE that is WORTH it! When I first saw the name of the establishment, I thought it was damn bold to claim they're "phonomenal." And to add to my already judgmental opinion, they only had 1 type of pho bowl with the simplicity of "do I want extra meatballs?" I came here right before the craze of not being able to get a table or them running out before noon on a Friday. (Mind blown) But I say congrats to the brothers that run the spot. They're super humble and just all-around good people. Most of the time, you'll be greeted by Sam, laid-back wearing his sunglass. I've bought several friends here and not one has been disappointed. Rather, it's grown into their favorite go-to spots for pho. Noodles are perfectly cooked and served with the side of fresh herbs. Those big ribs with super tender fall off the bone meat are so satisfying when u lift a bone and the meat just wants to bathe in the flavorful broth and slides back in. (Satisfying) Now if your crazy hungry u can start off with their spring rolls. Not ur typical Vietnamese spring roll cause these babies are gigantic. And they do it exactly how I like it. Without bean sprouts! Now if ur thirsty and want something a Lil sweet order their coco-cane! Don't you dare call it sugarcane because Sam will correct you. Just know, going here is not a bad choice. You'll leave insanely satisfied. Consider it "hot bowl of pho", SATISFIED!

First time and already a fan. The service was on point, super friendly and quick. The inside was very clean and sleek. Be sure to come early as they get pack super quick. But definitely worth the wait. The food was very tasty, fresh and fast. The spare ribs were super tender, literally came right off the bone. The spring rolls were huge. Love that they have are not shy about their peanut sauce. Thank you Phonomenal for a delicious first time. I will definitely be back.
